The Mobberley Women’s Cricket Team had a fantastic weekend, raising £210 for Prevent Breast Cancer during their ‘Paint Cricket Pink’ match on Sunday. The weather was glorious, and the event brought together players, supporters, and community members for a fun and meaningful afternoon.
Everyone got into the spirit of the day — players wore pink, and the crowd cheered loudly as the girls played some great cricket. It was a brilliant way to have fun in the sun while supporting a really important cause.
“We’re so happy with how everything went,” said Team Captain Lynda Brown. “It’s always a special day for us, and knowing we’re helping raise awareness for breast cancer makes it even more worthwhile.”
The money raised will go straight to Prevent Breast Cancer, a charity dedicated to spreading awareness, supporting research, and helping those affected by the disease.
The team has been busy with matches and training, and they’re looking forward to their upcoming fixtures against local teams. Fans and supporters are welcome to come along and cheer them on!
A big thank you to everyone who came out, donated, or supported from afar — your support means the world. For updates on future games and events, follow the team on social media.
Thanks,
MCC Events Team.
